Transcend
4th Solo Exhibition
at One Workshop Gallery
Opening cocktail on Sept 5
The
15 acrylic works on canvas which compose “Transcend”
can be freely interpreted with their eye-catching textures but their
basis is the concept of uniting colors, and through this, ultimately
transcending the canvas’ surface with meaning.
When
commenting on her work, Beatriz introduces a beautiful metaphor.
She says that at times she pictures herself as a color. And through
a sturdy hand, she lets herself be guided in the brushstrokes. She
is among many other colors, each of vibrant shades of their own.
Reds,
yellows, blues, and greens surround her in a flurry.
Each color does not disappear into the mix, but instead finds its
place and thrives! Now, seamlessly flowing as one, each and every
color transcends itself. Whatever beauty each hue had on its own,
comes alive! This story is the meaning of her work. Beatriz has
been exposed to art from the very start because of having an internationally
renowned artist as a father.
She
has been involved with the Subic Art Institute and Gallery and art
fundraisers such as “LiveArt” a benefit project for
cancer awareness. |
