Layered Images of My World
An exhibition of fine art photographic prints by seven Filipino expatriate photographers.

The OneWorkshop Gallery presents ”Layered Images of My World”, an exhibition of fine art photographic prints by seven Filipino expatriate photographers. The artists on exhibit are Sherwin Andal, Bernard Billedo, Annie Neis, Red Ognita, Chris Rudio, Donna Samonte and Owen “Moetwain” Tiam. The exhibit invites viewers to discover life through their unique, individual perspectives based on where they currently live and work.

Sherwin Andal is a recipient of the Photographer of the Year Award for 2004-2005, and has been a member of the Alpha Camera Club in Manila since 2003. Based in Canada, Andal shoots mostly portraits, landscapes and macros of Vancouver.

Bernard Billedo photographs people and panoramas in the Philippines and New Zealand which he now calls home. Photos of the Tongariro National Park and the Banaue Rice Terraces are included in his portfolio.

Annie Neis is an independent I.T. consultant in Colorado who studied photography at the New York Institute of Photography. Her body of work is composed mainly of photographs focused on social issues.

Donna Samonte is also a US-based photographer working in New Jersey.

Red Ognita and Owen Tiam, who signs his work “Moetwain,” are both professional photographers who live and work in Beijing.

Chris Rudio is an artist photographer working in London.

“Layered Images of My World” is the result of a purposeful internet networking project initiated in July 2007 by OWG curator Ross Capili. Stressing that Filipino expat photographers should be given adequate opportunities to promote their work, Capili chose ten promising art photographers online and invited them to join a group exhibition in the Philippines. Seven of the ten chosen photographers made the exhibition cut.

“Layered Images of My World” opens at 7PM on Friday, December 28, 2007 at OWG. Live internet chat on Apple MAC’s via a big screen projector courtesy of Bong Almonguera of Ynzal Marketing will enable all the artists to be present at the opening. Family members of the seven photographers will be present for the ribbon cutting.

The exhibit features a total of 28 framed fine art photographic prints on Hahnemuhle, produced using archival pigment inks and acid-free materials. All prints are signed and dated collector’s editions.

Layered Images of My World runs until January 28, 2008
